The Burnett Family

The Burnett Family

Scott and Kendre have lived in North Augusta for 10 years and work as engineers. We have felt a tug to adopt for a few years and thought maybe eventually but no urgency. After having an easy pregnancy with Brayden, we had 2 miscarriages before having Emma. One night Kendre was sitting next to Brayden's bed silently praying and said yes to God about adopting. Brayden sat up in his bed said thank you God and laid back down asleep. After that Kendre talked with Scott about what happened and the feeling God asked us to adopt, he prayed about it a lot and we talked through all the trepidation we both had. We both just kept coming back to whatever may scare us, we know God wants us to do this. Shortly after we officially said yes in our hearts to adoption, Scott's work announced that it was significantly expanding their adoption assistance program. After having Emma, we have a girl and a boy and could easily stop there, but we know God has good things in store for us. We have no clue how or who God will bless us with, but we're following Him.
